Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known role was Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. The actress fell in love with acting at Preparatory school before moving to Ohio together with her family during the early 1970s. She attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna began her career in Chicago-area theatres for a couple of years. Then she moved to film and television. Anna was selected to portray Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode show Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Then she was placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. She also starred in the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn appeared in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. In addition, she played in Numbered Day, an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio-based plays. The romance that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's last years of his life.
