Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible as the pioneer of modern studies of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received several grants and was awarded numerous international and national distinctions. She has provided policy and research consultations to numerous agencies and government departments around the globe. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman belongs to Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
